(7/8") C Classic V-Belts

Versatile Belting for Everyday Industrial Drives

The C belt sits in a sweet spot. At 7/8" top width, it's substantial enough for real load-bearing work, yet common enough to show up on equipment across nearly every industry. If you maintain machinery, run a fleet, or stock a shop, classic C V-belts are the kind of dependable, tried-and-true belting you'll reach for again and again.

At V-Belt Global Supply, we make it easy to identify, locate, and order the exact C Section belt your equipment needs. Whether you're swapping one worn belt or filling out your shelves, we're here to help you get it right the first time.

What Are Classic C V-Belts?

The C belt is classic in both design and application: a conventional wrapped V-belt with a 7/8" top width, built to handle serious work. These belts were originally developed to replace leather belting across industries like agriculture, rock crushers, mining, and lawn & garden.

What makes the C Section belt perform is its geometry. Each belt is built with a 40° angle that wedges into the pulley groove under load. The heavier the pull, the harder the belt wedges in, which means more grip exactly when the drive demands it. Inside, a durable rubber compound is paired with a polyester cord to add strength and dimensional stability, so the belt holds its shape run after run. For especially demanding drives, some 7/8" classic C belts are also available in Kevlar for added strength.

These are not light-duty belts. They are engineered for standard industrial service across a wide temperature range, performing reliably from -1° F through 158° F, and they carry ISO 9001 certification.

Common Applications for C Section Belts

Because the C belt balances strength and versatility so well, you'll find it driving equipment across many of the industries we serve, including:

  • Agricultural machinery and processing equipment
  • Rock crushers and aggregate operations
  • Mining and material handling systems
  • Lawn & garden and grounds equipment
  • Industrial fans, blowers, pumps, and compressors

Anywhere the job calls for a proven, hard-working belt on a standard or heavy-duty drive, classic C belts get it done.

How to Find the Right C Belt

Sizing a C belt is simple once you know how it's measured. Each belt is identified by its profile and outside length: a C96, for example, is a C Section belt with a 100" outside circumference. You'll also find options across brands and constructions, including standard C belts and premium D&D belts.

Already know your belt number? Just read the code printed on your old belt and enter it in our search bar, with no spaces, words, quotes, or dashes. We'll match it right away.
