Kevlar v-belts are one of the strongest conventional v-belts on the market. Standard v-belts are corded with polyester and under high stress and shock load, can stretch. The kevlar, or aramid, cords are resistant to stretch. The Kevlar cords also allow the belt to maintain its flexibility and increase heat dissipation.
